Pay attention to the wording of the advertisements, the address of the apartment is rarely reported and the indications of type "10 minutes from the station" or "ideal for a student" are sometimes fanciful.
Ask about the bus and metro lines that serve the neighborhood and what are the local shops. If necessary, check for yourself.
