At 16 rue du Maine, in the Saint-Serge district, the Les Estudines Angers Saint-Serge student residence stands on the banks of the Maine river, right next to the Jardin des Plantes. Open since September 2023, it sits at the foot of the Saint-Serge university campus, just a few minutes' walk from the city centre. Lectures, shopping and nights out are all within walking distance or a short ride on public transport, in a city officially designated a "City of Art and History".
150 furnished studios, from T1 to T1 bis
The residence offers 150 furnished and fully equipped units, ready to move into. T1 studios range from 18 to 23 m², and T1 bis studios from 24 to 27 m². Each studio has its own kitchenette (hob, microwave, storage), a desk area for studying, a wardrobe and a private shower room. A kitchenware kit is provided, and a linen kit (sheets, pillowcases, towels and bath mat) is handed over on arrival and changed by the residence every two weeks. The studios are eligible for the ALS housing allowance paid by the CAF.
Shared spaces to study and unwind
Several shared spaces are included in the rent. The coworking space is designed for working alone or in groups, with benches, chairs and high seating. The gym offers free access to fitness and weight-training equipment: treadmills, rowing machines and elliptical trainers. The lounge, with its armchairs and board games, is where residents get together. Wi-Fi is free throughout the building.
An on-site team and everyday services
The reception is staffed by the residence team, who welcome students and interns alike and help them with their paperwork. Access is secured, and the building has a lift and a sheltered bike storage room. Need a vacuum cleaner or an iron? Reception will lend you one free of charge. Additional services are available on request: laundry room, cleaning service and parking spaces for cars, motorbikes or scooters (ask at reception).
The Saint-Serge campus on foot
Few residences in Angers are this close to the faculties. IAE Angers is 157 m away, while ESTHUA (Faculty of Tourism, Culture and Hospitality) and Prépa DEFI Pluripass are both 182 m away. The University of Angers' Faculty of Law, Economics and Management is a 5-minute walk, the Faculty of Health (medicine) is 700 m away and the Université Catholique de l'Ouest (UCO) is 1.4 km away. ESSCA and the Belle-Beille campus, just over 4 km away, are easy to reach by public transport. The residence is also a partner of AICOM school (Groupe SOA).
